Top Line: I continue despite no comments for yesterday's posting on the blog. However, there was a thank you fom Mr. Rangarajan and that has motivated me to go ahead with today's.
Oh, I forgot, today the overhead tanks have been opened - no gala ceremony though and certainly no politicians! Water is coming down quite fiercefully as though it was angry not to have served us for so many days. The photos I took earlier today are available at the bottom. The terrace still requires complete clean up which I am sure will be done in a day or two. I, as usual will extend my moral support to all activities.
Tomorrow (June 21, 2009) is Mrs. and Mr. Kannappan (Flat 9)'s Sashtiapthapoorthi. Let us pray to God to give the couple good health and long life! i will be missing the function as I need to travel to Coimbatore tonight.

Project Aqua - 19th June, 2009 update.
The Project is over well and truely but we will still have the routine of allowing MW tank to dryout throughout today (19th June).Tomorrow morning sometime we will check the tanks with full water and then water supply will resume normally in all aspects. Once this is over, I shall send a final comprehensive message.
Roughly the Project has costed 32000/- as against Projected 40000/- and I shall confirm the final figures exactly after a few material returns and purchase settlements but the figure will very much be around this.

Just in!
Mr. Rangarajan, took pains in drawing these and I did not take any pain in publishing them here:

This is how bad things looked before Project Aqua!

This is how it looks now! Don't you now appreciate the hard work done by Mr. Rangarajan and Mr. Srinivasan?

Project Aqua - Photos taken on 20th June

The outlet for the Borewell wather. Just one pipe and not a maze!
The outlet to the individual flats. Simple valve.
The outlet from the Metro water tank
The other side view of the Borewell tank. Again no maze of pipes!
The tiled metro water tank. No more paasi!
And the tiled bore water tank.
Wow, neatly laid out pipes, no more criss-cross!

Another view. The cross line is a cable, not a pipe.
